Replayowl vs FullStory
FullStory is a broad analytics platform where session replay sits next to funnels, dashboards, heatmaps, AI agents and data export. Replayowl is just session replay, on your own servers.

The main difference: where the sessions go
With FullStory, every recorded session is sent to FullStory’s cloud in the US or the EU. An account cannot be moved between the two after it is created. That is fine for many teams. It is a problem if your security review, your customers’ contracts or your own policy say visitor sessions may not leave your infrastructure.
With Replayowl, the recorder sends batches to a server you deploy, which writes them to a bucket you own. No copy goes anywhere else. See security and privacy.
Pick FullStory if
You want product analytics, dashboards, heatmaps and mobile replay in one hosted tool, and either the free plan’s 30,000 sessions is enough or you are ready to talk to sales.
Pick Replayowl if
You need replay for support and debugging, you want recordings in your own storage, and you do not want a per-session price. Replayowl records whole sessions across page loads, marks console errors and rage clicks on the timeline, and lets you search by your own user ID.
It does not do heatmaps, funnels, dashboards or mobile apps. If you rely on those, FullStory or one of the tools in our open source comparison fits better.
